Il était une fois une artiste franco-algérienne, née à Douai et ayant vécu en France, en Suisse, en Espagne, à New York et finalement à Paris.
Dans ce deuxième album solo, Nesrine raconte des histoires qui sont souvent les siennes mais où il est toujours question de l’Autre. Le français se mêle à l’arabe et à l’anglais, à chaque langue sa musicalité, à chaque mot sa sonorité.
Autrice-compositrice interprète, Nesrine crée musiques et textes (coécrits avec sa mère lorsqu’ils sont en arabes) à partir de souvenirs et de rencontres, qu’elles soient amicales, littéraires ou musicales. Des influences plus ou moins cachées, de Khalil Gibran (Fear en reprend un poème) à Gainsbourg (Bonnie and Clyde), mais aussi de Beethoven à Erykah Badu, de Nietzsche au chaâbi.
